Well-established trade fairs wire and Tube Southeast Asia staged an impressive comeback alongside the debut of GIFA and METEC SOUTHEAST ASIA, exceeding expectations with 244 exhibitors from 32 countries, and close to 6,000 visitors from 60 countries, which included 30 percent coming from outside of Thailand.

The 14th and 13th editions of wire and Tube Southeast Asia will move to the later part of 2022 when the two co-located trade fairs will be held from 5 - 7 October 2022 at BITEC, Bangkok. This move from the previously announced dates in February of next year is prudent in view of the on-going ban on large scale events in Bangkok, which is still a dark-red zone in Thailand. In addition, the varying quarantine requirements for international travellers also pose an added challenge for stakeholders to plan their participation with confidence and certainty.
New dates set for wire and Tube Southeast Asia as trade fairs move to 2022

The next editions of wire and Tube Southeast Asia will now be held from 9 - 11 February 2022 at BITEC, Bangkok. The move to next year from the slated September 2021 dates, will allow for optimum participation for the highly international trade fairs where in past editions more than 90 percent of exhibitors came from overseas from countries such as Austria, France, Germany, India, Japan, Korea, and United Kingdom.

wire and Tube Southeast Asia 2017 – the 12th International Wire and Cable Trade Fair for Southeast Asia and the 11th International Tube and Pipe Trade Fair for Southeast Asia came to a successful close on 21 September 2017. Together, the synergistic, co-located trade fairs unveiled an all-encompassing exhibit range that was presented by 400 leading industry names from 30 countries – of which 95% came from outside Thailand, as well as national pavilions and country groups Austria, China, Germany, Italy, Taiwan, UK and USA. Testament to the trade fairs’ standing as the region’s definitive sourcing and procurement platform for the industry, wire and Tube Southeast Asia 2017 recorded attendance of 8,458 trade visitors from 50 countries, with 39% coming from overseas, including visiting delegations from Vietnam, India, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia. This year’s overall visitorship showed a healthy increase of close to 20% as compared to 2015, with local demand manifested by 65 local group visits from Bangkok Cable, Phelps Dodge International, Thai Wire Products, Thai Yazaki Electric Wire, The Siam Industrial Wire, among others.
